Portrait of Alexa in design studio

Designer.
Strategist.
Adventurer.

I work across disciplines to tackle complex problems in early stage innovation, crafting meaningful futures, empowered by clarity, optimism and technology.
My immersive approach uncovers weak signals that others miss, converting them into future-proof concepts. From inkling to execution, I lead projects with a user-centered methodology that balances pragmatism with possibility.

My engineering-based Masters degree in Design & Innovation grounds me to develop ideas with a planet-centred mindset.

My approach:
I am an adventurer at heart; from flying glider planes at sixteen to more recent motorbike escapades. This adventurous spirit drives my design practice to discover unexpected opportunities, challenge conventional solutions and break taboos along the way.

Special
Projects

I was based in London for close to 15 years, where I had the pleasure of working as a senior designer at Special Projects Studio, an award-winning design and invention studio.

At Special Projects, we applied the thought process of magicians to create delightful experiences and enhance the unquantifiable aspects of life; empathy, well-being, delight, with meaningful design and invention.

I have proudly led and worked on projects winning multiple awards, including:
Fast Company Innovation by Design Award
IxDA Interaction Award | Best Concept
Webby Award | Official Nominee
London Design Award

My latest project as a lead designer, SlowMo ⤴, has been featured in FastCompany, Dezeen, Design Week, Wallpaper, and LSN Global.
